Addiction Psychiatry in Los Angeles

Blackburn Clinical Services provides psychiatric care for people facing addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions, serving clients across West Los Angeles.

Substance use rarely happens in isolation. Anxiety, depression, trauma and mood disorders often come with it, and treating one without the other can stall recovery. Our psychiatrists treat the full picture.

What addiction psychiatry includes

  • Psychiatric evaluation. A thorough assessment of mental health and substance use history.
  • Medication management. Ongoing care for anxiety, depression, mood disorders and other conditions, adjusted as needs change.
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Medications that reduce cravings and support stability in early recovery.
  • Coordinated care. Psychiatry is closely coordinated with therapy and other services for one cohesive plan.

Outpatient detox

For people who qualify medically, our outpatient detox offers a structured alternative to a hospital stay. Care begins with an intake assessment by a board certified addiction psychiatrist, followed by daily check-ins with a licensed nurse and medications as needed to manage withdrawal and cravings, while you remain at home.

Ongoing recovery

After stabilization, psychiatric care continues alongside individual therapy, family services and our Concierge Outpatient Program, which offers 3 to 5 hours a week of one-on-one care with no groups.
