Blackburn Clinical Services wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to find information about our care and reach our team easily through this website.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities, including vision, hearing, mobility and cognitive disabilities.
What we do
- Write descriptive text for meaningful images
- Use a clear heading structure so pages are easy to follow with a screen reader
- Make sure menus, links, forms and buttons can be used with a keyboard
- Label form fields clearly
- Check that text has enough contrast against its background
- Review the site for accessibility as we add new pages and features
Content from other providers
Some parts of this site come from other providers, including the embedded Google map and YouTube videos. We do not fully control how that content works. If anything from another provider gets in your way, contact us and we will share the same information another way.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing work. Some pages may not yet fully meet our goal, and we keep reviewing and improving the site.
